J. Claude Hemphill III, MD,MA
Abbreviated CV Education: Training: Society Memberships: Editorial Boards: Current Interests and Activities Dr. Hemphill is Co-Director of the UCSF Brain and Spinal Injury Center. His clinical and research interests have included (1) intracerebral hemorrhage and (2) advanced neuromonitoring in neurocritical care. His NIH-funded research has focused on secondary brain injury in intracerebral hemorrhage and the new NETT (Neurological Emergency Treatment Trials network) in which he is PI of SF-NET (the San Francisco site). Additionally he is a founding director and current officer (secretary) of the Neurocritical Care Society. He serves on the editorial board of the journal Neurocritical Care. He regular lectures at national and international meetings on advances in neurocritical care, brain injury, and stroke, with an emphasis on practical clinical implementation.
